Sorting and Feeding

I chose to help with two programs which have been a part of my life consistently. Beginning with help sorting materials with K-State Extension for outreach and classes. As I had connection working with extension alongside my mother and with my internships, I had a chance to help out once more this summer. The Extension office commonly has a combined workbook for materials in multiple classes, and the materials needed to be sorted into books for the participants. a few hours was all it took.

The second area I helped was the summer meals program at La Iglesia Bautista del Sur, where I was along to take promotional photos and help out the staff wherever I was needed, be it child watching or serving. I’ve mentioned this place before as I’ve helped their meals programs for many years at this point and these programs will always have a place in my heart. I was happy to see them back to helping the community.
