Great organizations require a well-versed and committed staff, and that is certainly the case with Ogallala Commons. This week, we want to introduce our Management Staff–a group of eight people who work on a contract basis for our organization.
Darryl Birkenfeld, Ph.D.—He has walked the OC road for over a decade, becoming the Director in 2003. His skills with community education, project development, and partnership building, have helped grow OC from a small project to a flourishing nonprofit organization.
Megan England—Her first experience with OC came through 4 years as a Community Intern in the following positions: Campo High School Service-Learning, Baca Community Economic Development, Village of Campo, and Ogallala Commons. She became an OC Intern Coordinator in 2011.
Kade Wilcox—Since 2014, he has lead the way on Strategic Planning, helping our organization clarify its mission and purpose, assisting our Executive Director in developing the tools needed to put OC’s vision into practice
Simone Cahoj—After becoming OC’s first Community Intern in 2007, Simone collaborated with OC in many different roles, honing her expertise in community leadership and economic development. She currently works with OC’s Intern Program to develop partnerships in Kansas and Nebraska.
Nathan Holman—He serves as Administrative Assistant to our Director, keeping OC projects organized and efficient.
Justin Trammell—Like other staffers, he gained entry to OC through the Community Intern Program. While raising chickens and growing food for his own CSA group, Justin also works in Youth Education and Engagement for OC.
Kim Hall—Somebody has to cut checks and keep financial records, right? Kim works as our organization’s Book Keeper and compiles our financial reports.
Lacey Wilcox—More and more people encounter OC through our Facebook pages, thanks to Lacey’s work as our Social Media Manager. She posts consistently to our Facebook andTwitter accounts, and puts together our monthly e-newsletter.
Staff management is where the “rubber meets the road” daily and weekly for Ogallala Commons. We are thankful for such a fine team! To learn more about our Staff Contractors, visit our Leadership page.
