Melanie Bugg Bio

Hello all, my name is Melanie Bugg, and I was a student at Frank Phillips College where I went through one of their two-year technical programs. I graduated in May of 2021 with my Associates in Instrumentation and Electrical and a Process Tech Certificate. I am adult that went back to college for a change of careers. I am a lifetime resident of Borger, Tx, and I am very blessed that most of my family is here in Borger also. I work for Borger ISD as an Instructional Assistant, and have worked for them for 16 years.  At Borger ISD I have done many things, I worked as a one-on-one aide for several students with disabilities, I was the PE aide for 1st and 2nd grades, I ran the computer lab, and last year I helped teachers in the classroom and worked with students with behavioral issues. I am a widow and have a teenage daughter who keeps me on my toes. My daughter and I both love to get in the kitchen to cook and bake (but I hate the dishes). I love to read and most times when not busy will have my head in a book. Sci-fi and fantasy movies are a favorite, and I am a total Trekie.  My long-term career goals are to find a company where I can work and use my skills. I am excited for this internship so I can get some hands-on experience to go with everything that I learned, and be a more well-rounded individual and job candidate.

I graduated!
