John Alexander Bio

I am John Blake Alexander but everyone knows me as “J.B”. I grew up in a small East Texas town about two hours south of Ft. Worth and attended Cayuga High School, where I was involved in FFA, 4-H, and many other leadership opportunity groups. All three of my older brothers attended Cayuga just as I did and we were all involved in these activities and grew up raising show steers until each of us graduated. I am currently attending West Texas A&M University pursuing my degree in agricultural education, to become either an Agricultural Sciences teacher in High School or a County Extension Agent. The main reason I was interested in this internship is to decide  which career path will fit me most in my degree plan I am required to student teach under an agricultural sciences teacher in the state of Texas. With this internship, I will have both experiences as a County Extension Agent and an agricultural science teacher when I graduate, so I can make the best decision. I was very blessed to have the opportunity to go to college so far away from home and meet some great people who are still my best friends today. I am excited about the opportunities and future connections that this internship is going to provide and how it will help me grow as an individual and a future professional. I look forward to learning the “ins and outs” of Extension service and how it will help me in my future endeavors.
