Howdy Y’all!

Howdy! I’m Tizzy Walker. I grew up east of Kress, Texas and graduated from Kress High School last year. I am currently a sophomore at Texas A&M University in College Station pursuing a degree in Agribusiness with minors in Agronomy and Entomology. I am passionate about agriculture especially focusing on cash crops including cotton, sorghum, corn, and wheat as well as the beef industry. Some of my favorite things to do are dancing, kayaking, riding horses, fishing, and long road trips, as well as the occasional shopping sprees with some of my best friends. I grew up on a farm and during the summer, a good portion of my time is devoted to helping my Father and Grandfather. I cannot imagine my life without agriculture and living on the farm. I owe it to my Dad for helping me discover my passion. I want to be either an Agriculture Commodity Trader or a Seed production manager for Monsanto. This internship will help me achieve this goal because I will be receiving first hand, real world situations that pertain to my major, while also helping me become a better communicator, leader, and have a deeper understanding of business management. Through this internship, I will also be exposed to many different career paths and how my education may fit into those jobs. I will also get to meet many people that will be in my line of work which will help me network with many fascinating people who have inspired me.

“I also love my dog!”
