Sandra Dillinger – Bio

Hello, my name is Sandra Dillinger. I have lived in Woodland Park for 19 years, and I am the youngest of three girls. I am currently attending Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington., and have just finished my freshman year of college. I am studying to get a degree in chemistry along with a minor in art. With my degree, I am hoping to work in an environmental field, such as environmental conservation, as previously working and shopping at the market, and living in the mountains has given me an appreciation for nature, and a desire to save it. This will be my second-year interning at the Teller County Farmers Market, but not my first year working at the market. I have always been involved in the market, from just going to buy fruits and vegetables, to selling dog biscuits as a vendor from the time I was in 5th grade to the time I was in 8th grade. I learned so many things from the market last year, from how our food is grown to how to bring a community together. For my second year, I am hoping to continue learning about all the different vendors who come to our market, as well as working to find new ways to bring our community together to help others. Our first market was this past Friday and was a huge success and I am looking forward to the rest of the summer market and I am excited to see what we will accomplish this summer.
