Get to know me!

By Alea Wittler

Hello everyone! It’s been a while. I’m Alea Wittler and this is my third internship through OC. I am 15 and will turn 16 in about 2 weeks. I am currently considering a business or a video production degree but I don’t have any sort of a solid plan yet. I know I still have 2 years to figure it out but then again I only have 2 years, so I better keep thinking! This year I am doing yet another internship in a new place. You might recall last year that I interned at my dad’s print shop for the summer, well this year I am interning under OC itself. I believe my official “title” is a digital and media resource manager? That is a fancy way to say that I am working on producing and setting up all the Virtual OC orientation videos, OC Workshop videos, and the Arkansas Valley Foodshed Project. I have recently started to take an interest in video production and editing, so when I found that I could do an internship involving my interest I was thrilled! I easily spend 3 to 4 hours a day editing and working on the videos and then the rest of my hours are spent uploading the videos to the folders they belong in or coordinating plans with Darryl Birkenfeld and my dad. I am looking forward to all the experience I will gain from this opportunity and I am really excited to continue working on these projects. I might even say that it is my favorite internship yet!
