Blog 1: Meet Teresa

Hi, my name is Teresa Rosas. I was born and raised in the small town of Hart, Texas. I have 2 older brothers, a younger sister, and a niece and nephew. I am in my junior year at West Texas A&M University and was recently accepted in to the nursing program. I was undecided my first year of school but I knew that I wanted a career where I would be able to make a difference in the lives of others while doing something I love and that’s how I came to the decision to pursue a career in nursing. I will be doing my internship at Plains Memorial Hospital in Dimmitt, Texas which is only 15 minutes from my hometown so I get to spend some time back home for the summer. I am extremely excited for this internship because I get to learn a little bit more about my career before I have to jump in to clinicals in the fall. Right now it seems as if my life revolves around school and work and sometimes the pressure gets to me but somehow I am managing. I like to spend time with my family, watch movies and catch up on sleep in my spare time. I am also a cat enthusiast and my friends sometimes refer to me as the cat lady but I don’t mind. I am very much looking forward to what this summer has in store for me.
