All About Me

By: Correy Koellner

My name is Correy Koellner, and I am from Holyoke, Colorado. I moved here from Imperial, Nebraska in 2018. I have been involved in both sports and school organizations throughout my high school career. I have played softball, volleyball, swimming, basketball, and track and field. I just graduated this past month. For pets, I have a dog named Buddy. He is a pure-blooded German Shepherd. I am passionate about animals. Because of this, I have chosen the path of veterinary medicine. My main hobbies are working out and playing recreational sports. I also enjoy reading and learning new things. I would like to become a veterinarian. I have not decided between domestic or exotic animals yet. This internship can help me to plan things out and work on my people skills. By learning how to solve problems in multiple fields, I can learn the best way to handle future situations. I also have a nice look at the community involvement side to the business world. I get to see how the businesses all work together through the Chamber of Commerce. I would like to own my own business one day, and this internship will provide me with the necessary information to join as one of the supporting businesses of the community I’ll live in. I also have another job alongside the internship. I work out at the Ballyneal Golf Course. I work the beverage cart, am a server, and I even help out as a runner. I have even thought about applying as a caddie to get in more hours.
