Uriel Campos – A Study

My name is Uriel Campos. I was raised in Dodge City, Kansas and have lived there my entire life. I graduated from Dodge City Community College with an Associate’s degree in Biology in 2015. From there, I transferred to Fort Hays State University, graduating with a degree in English with a concentration in writing in May 2018.

My passions include writing, reading, music, movies, history, and traveling. Most of my free time is spent writing, reading, listening to music, or watching movies. I try to spend as much time outdoors as I can; however, my classes as an undergraduate English major left me trapped indoors for the majority of my days. Now that I’ve graduated, I hope to someday publish a novel, a short story, or a poetry collection. Another hope of mine is to simply make a living from writing.

I have always had an interest in helping others. This interest has been growing into a passion as of recent, yet I found myself struggling with how exactly to allow it to flourish. My internship with Ogallala Commons will, hopefully, help me grow and develop this passion, fine-tune my ability to document and share my own experiences, as well as, develop hands-on skills.
