Hey y’all! I am Kylie Franklin and I am a junior from Campo Colorado. I am the oldest child with a teenage sister and a not so little baby brother. My family means the world to me and one of my big missions in my life is to make Southeast Colorado a better place for families to be. Ever since I was about 5 years old I have had my sights set on being a veterinarian and I have worked many hours with vets from all around. I am very involved in my community because the town should be as great as the people. I am in several groups inside and outside of school including being a South Baca Patriot Cheerleader, being very involved with 4-H, and also rodeoing everywhere with the Little Britches Rodeo Association. From starting out in Kansas, then moving to Texas, and then ending up here in Colorado I have definitely been able to see the difference of states and just the different feel of every community. Here in Campo we are just a tight knit family but our town is not the best. Some parts of Campo in all honestly are dumps, people get too busy to clean up their places so it just gets worst. My goal while being an Ogallala Commons Intern is to clean up Campo and to also start a community garden where people can come and buy produce for cheap. I am very excited about helping out my community and the amazing people here.
