Riley Gore

Hello! My name is Riley Gore and I am from Silverton Texas. I have always gone to school here but have not always lived here. I am about to be a senior at Silverton. I love the small town and the community of which I am a part. I do a lot within the school and community. I am active in UIL, OAP, TAFE, Student Council, NHS, girls’ Basketball, and Track manager, as well as cheer captain.

Apart from all of that, I love my family. I was adopted by my parents in 2007 when I was only a year and a half old, after being taken in by them at three months old. I am the youngest of fifteen kids. I would not trade them for the world. As I am about to enter my Senior year of high school, I am starting to think of a plan.

After high school, I want to attend Texas Tech University and major in Biomedical Engineering. I plan to get my Master’s degree in Biomedical engineering and go to medical school to work as a Prosthetics and Orthotics Doctor.

I dream of working at the Scottish Rite Hospital located in Dallas. This is the doctor that I go to for my prosthesis, and I love the environment as well as all of the people there, including my doctor, Dwight. He is the reason I was to go down this path and has inspired me to become a person who can help others like me. This will be my first internship and I am super excited. I will be working with my school doing technology, digital media, and office work.
