Photo Update

To supplement my initial blog post, here are a few photos from some of the research I have been conducting in the Southern High Plains.

Playa vegetation in Floyd County, Texas.
Barred Tiger Salamander (Ambystoma tigrinum mavortium) nearing the completion of metamorphosis, Terry County, TX.
Great Plains Narrow-mouthed Toad (Gastrophryne olivacea) tadpole, Floyd County, TX.
Spadefoot (Spea spp.) tadpoles, Floyd County, TX. Fun fact: New Mexico and Plains Spadefoots are indistinguishable from one another as tadpoles, aside from genetic techniques. Individuals may also interbreed where their ranges overlap.
Plains Leopard Frog (Lithobates blairi), Terry County, TX.
Casa la Entereza, Castro County, TX.
