Hello, my name is Sandra Garcia. I was born and raised in Garden City, a small town in Kansas. I am eighteen years old and the oldest of three children followed by my two brothers, Cristo and Isaac. I graduated from Garden City High School on May 18th of this year. During my four years of high school I was involved in theater working on and off the stage in different theater classes. I learned about acting in Repertory Theater, building sets in Tech Theater, and even designing the actors costumes in Textile Design. I was also in the ladies Le Chantes chorus and the A capella mixed chorus. Both theater and choir were my two favorite extracurricular activities. Even though I loved being involved in the arts during high school, what I chose for my major is something totally different. I plan to attend Garden City Community College to major in criminology. I chose this major because I find trying to solve a crime and putting all the pieces together to come up with a theory very interesting. Forensic science has always caught my attention whether it’d be in movies, TV shows, documentaries, or even in the news. During my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I also enjoy meeting new people and making new friends. I think this internship will be a great experience that will help me learn new things and socialize with new people. I also think that it will be a great opportunity that will open new doors for me in the future.
