I don’t have 2 pictures but this is one image with 2 in it. My intern badge with my picture.
Hi, My name is Sandi Missildine. I am a Senior 2 Nursing student at West Texas A & M University. I have just one more semester of nursing school this fall. I was referred to Ogallala Commons by a class mate who had done two internships with Ogallala Commons. I honestly, do not know much about the program but I am anxious to learn about it. I enjoy helping others and I especially enjoy the elderly. I am 50 years old and have wanted to be a nurse all of my adult life and finally have to opportunity to do so. I am grateful for the opportunity to do an internship with Ogallala Commons.
I started my internship at the hospital in Plainview, TX and so far is has been a great learning experience. The employees and staff are friendly and welcoming and I am happy to be there. My internship is for nursing and I hope to learn as many skills as possible and any opportunity that arises. My first 2 days were in the Emergency Room and the first day was very busy and I probably did more skills that day then I did my entire semester in nursing school. The second day was not as exciting but I enjoyed it too. Even though I have to drive a long distance to my internship it is worth it. I am very grateful for this experience and I am looking forward to next week and it’s experiences.
