When I first started my internship I didn’t know exactly what I’d be doing or if I would be able to do it, since I was injured before summer started. FYI don’t be using a long bored at a skate park unless you know what your doing. So far it’s been going smoothly. I was able to meet some of my fellow coworkers who were all very nice and were very helpful and even was able to meet another intern who was Tony. He was to be working in the same area. one of the secretaries there is very helpful, she would showed me where all the files were and how they were filed. I’ve been put in charge of going through the city’s maps and blueprints and digitizing and organizing them in their respective files. Most of my first two weeks in my internship was very uneventful. Yet, when talking to my supervisor we discussed some ways that can get me more involved and learn more about my city. He mentioned that he would take me to the labs of both the water treatment plant and water reclamation. There I would shadow/help with some of the lab work they do there. Like helping with mixing certain chemicals and watch how they run some of the machines. Other than that there hasn’t been a whole lot going on. Oh and feel free to laugh at my pics I think I was half work and half posing for them and who doesn’t like Hawaiian shirts.
