I am Scott Lass, I was born December 18th 1997 in Lubbock, Texas. I grew up in a very small community east of Plainview, Texas called Lockney. In school I participated in many organizations including FFA, Boy Scouts, NHS, UIL, Athletics, and Lockney High School Band. Growing up I worked on the family farm and ranch. We are a small cow-calf operation with all registered Angus. We are also dryland farmers that have roughly seven hundred acres in farmland. I did not find my passion until later in my high school career until I found FFA. I participated many contests including livestock judging, horse judging, and wool judging. The main reason why I joined FFA was to stock show. I showed sheep, goats, and cattle. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had. After high school, I went South Plains College and studies Computer Science for a year and a half. I decided that was not my calling and moved to Canyon, Texas and became West Texas A&M Plant, Soil and Environmental Science. In the future I want to take over the family business but that will not be for a long time. I still have many options but hopefully this internship will help me with this path.
