I grew up on a ranch in the heart of the Flint Hills of Kansas. My responsibilities included caring for my horse, goats, and dogs. I will graduate with my BSN in December of 2018 from Fort Hays State University. I got into the nursing program which was a dream come true for me. I chose nursing as my lead role in the ability to help others. I am very passionate about doing the right thing whether or not others are participating. Everyone is going to get through this world but I would like to get there by not cheating or working off of others. I also am very passionate doing good by others. Family is a very important aspect is my life. My corgi plays an important role in my emotional health. My long-term career goal is to find a place that feels like home where I can succeed in my nursing career. Throughout this internship, it will help me gain more experience by being on the floor and functioning as a nurse. I will be working very close with a nurse that can also mentor me as I grow.
