Introduction

Hello everybody!
My name is Jessi Stark and I am from a small rural community, Kress, which is located in the Texas panhandle.  I grew up on the farm where my dad plants corn, wheat, cotton, and oats.   We also have cattle and I have my very own little herd.  I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of growing up on a farm and being involved in the family business.
When I went to college, I knew I wanted to stay involved in campus activities and humanitarian outreach.  I joined a sorority, Delta Zeta, where I was involved in philanthropic projects inside the community, such as, the Ronald McDonald House, Work-A-Thon, Shack-A-Thon, and many more.  I also took on some leadership roles such as the alumni relations chair and courtesy chair.  I am now an active alumna.
I attended West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas where I pursued a degree in Interdisciplinary Sciences.  I am currently employed in my hometown as a fourth, fifth, and sixth grade math teacher.  I just completed my first semester of teaching and education is definitely the right career for me.  I enjoyed interacting with the students and watching them grow throughout the year.  The most rewarding experience is the relationship I have developed with my students.  It is a delight watching them learn.
I continue to be involved with the Swisher County 4-H program.  I have judged fashion show, food show, educational presentations, and food challenge.  It is a rewarding experience being on the other side of the judge’s table.  I have also assisted with the Swisher County Picnic and look forward to helping with it again this year.
I am excited for my internship this summer!
