Hi guys, I’m Sydney. I have live most of my life in the hot desert of Tucson, AZ with a population of over a million. About three years ago, I moved to the tiny, one stop light town of Tulia, TX. I love Tulia for how little it is, but even though it is small, I still learn new things about it every day. I hadn’t heard anything about Ogallala Commons until recently and had no idea what it was. Ogallala Commons caught my interest last summer after I had a friend intern for them and told me how interesting it was. So, I decided I would try to intern for them.
This summer I will be interning for the City of Tulia, Swisher Electric Co., Swisher Memorial Healthcare, Tulia Chamber of Commerce, Swisher County Headstart, Texas A &M AgriLife Extension Service, Swisher County Activities Association, and the Summer Lunch Program and community service. These all sound like exciting places to work and I am ready to learn the professions of the people who run them
I am very excited to work in the healthcare facility because I am considering an occupation in the medical field. I hope to gain work experience from this internship and a diverse knowledge of different occupations. I am also very excited to get to know people around town because I did not grow up in Tulia like most of the people that live here.
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed!!
