Hello my name is Skyler Hembree. I live in Leoti, Kansas with my two older sisters and my parents. I love playing the drums and I am a percussionist in my high school band. I also play basketball and baseball. I love listening to music in my spare time. My favorite band is Def Leppard, but I like all kinds of music.
I also spend a lot of time doing mechanic work with my dad. I have overhauled two engines by myself and several with my dad. Another thing I like to do is watch Youtube videos. My favorite channel on Youtube is Roosterteeth. They make very funny videos and I love watching them.
This upcoming year is my Senior year. After I graduate I plan on going to college for acting and film. I’m not sure which college I want to go to yet but I am sure in my major. I have always wanted to be an actor and I can’t imagine doing anything else.
I am interning for Simone Cahoj this summer at the Economic Development building.. I will be building a community garden, managing the farmer’s market, and helping out with the Wichita County Fair. I hope to build professional skills and learn about my community during my internship. I also hope that this internship will give me a good work experience and will help me get a job and keep a job in the future. I learned a lot at the orientation and I am very excited to get started with my internship.
