My sisters and I
My sisters and I

I was born in Fort Benning, Georgia on February 13, 1996. My family then moved to Kansas and we have been in the state ever since. Later in life my older sister and I were blessed with another sister putting me as the middle child. My sisters and I are very close, so close in fact that I moved in with my older sister my junior year of high school due to circumstance not being well in my home life. People are a passion of mine and I don’t like to see people being used, lied to, walked over or hurt. I try to live my life as honest as possible. I admit there have been times when I have come off too harsh to people but as I get older I have realized that not every person can be approached in the same way. Ever since I have been little I have always enjoyed sports. When I was younger I would watch my older sister play basketball and volleyball.  In middle school I was introduced to track and field. I fell in love with running and half way through my sophomore year I was introduced to javelin and connected to the event instantly. Running is still something that I love to do. As I progressed through my high school career I found that science is something I really enjoy doing. This lead me to pursue a degree in life science at Kansas State University. This internship can help me to be able to learn ways to get out into the community and be aware of my surroundings.
