Hi there! My name is Angelica Lopez and I attend West Texas A&M University in Canyon, TX ( GO BUFFS! ). This university had that small town “homey” feeling that made it easy to fall in love with and it has been my home for the past three years. Living in the area has made me appreciate the outdoors life and I enjoy exploring all of the little wonders that the Texas Panhandle has to offer.
Through all of my adventures I found that I wanted to try something new, so I eventually jumped into nursing, which became my passion. Nursing allows me to be the caring person that I am and I could not be happier. I have dedicated so much time and effort into my studies and this is just another step to achieving the main goal of receiving a BSN in Nursing. I will be doing my internship through the Pampa Regional Medical Center, the hospital in my hometown of Pampa, TX. In my time there I look forward to meeting the individuals that make up the nursing field. I want to experience all the different specializations and gain a better understanding of each of them. My main goal is to learn new techniques, observe procedures, and improve patient/nurse interaction. I am so grateful to Ogallala Commons for this tremendous opportunity to be able to do what I love for the people in my community. I hope that this takes me one step closer to reaching my goal and I look forward to the journey ahead knowing that Summer 2015 will be fantastic!
