Hey Everyone!!!
Wow, this internship has been an amazing experience so far! I started out my internship working at the Swisher County Head Start; I had a lot of fun and learned a lot. At the Head Start I filled out paper work for kids entering their program. Also I got to work with a group of wonderful ladies that taught me that “Head Start” isn’t just kids and fun, it’s also a lot of paper work and stress!
My next job consisted of working at the Swisher County Extension office, I had tons on fun helping Calley Runnels with a car seat class. I learned more about car seats than I ever knew there was to know about them. The Following day we took over forty kids to Cap Rock Canyon Sate Park to have an H20 camp day! We learned about all the interesting animals that roam around the canyon/park, then we ate lunch and then went into the afternoon activities. After lunch we went into different sessions such as, water games, trampoline obstacle course on the lake, canoeing, kayaking, and archery. I learned so much and I am glad I had the opportunity to work at the Swisher County Extension Office.
My next job site was working at Swisher Memorial Hospital, I have only worked for two days but I am loving every minute of it! I first worked in the lab where I learned how they draw blood from patients and the different test they run on the blood. Today, I am working at the nurses station learning everything about what nurses do.
It has been of to a great start so far! I have many, many more job sites to visit and I can’t wait!
Until next blog, XOXO- Anndee Lou
