Hello! My name is Leah-Michelle Cruz, I am 19 years old, I come from a small town called Tulia Texas. I was born in Amarillo Texas. I have only one ear that really works but I can barely hear out of the other one it is on my right side.  My mom is Christina Villegas Cruz and my dad is Joe Luis Cruz I have one brother Andrew Cruz and two step sisters Emily Rose, Kimberly Nicole and one step brother  Joe Matthew Cruz. I just recently graduated from Tulia High School and plan on attending Amarillo College in the fall for my basics. I have participated in many activities and fundraisers such as cheer-leading, Dallas Saenz car wash, selling flowers, helping out with Zolmans and Plainview bike ride races, and many more. I have a learning disability but i’m a hard worker. I’m passionate about animals; it would be nice to work with them. My hobbies include hanging out with my friends, helping my family, long distance running and make new friends. I want to accomplish my goals and be an independent person. This internship can start to help me reach my goals by giving me confidence, helping me with my skills, and preparing me for my future. I’m excited to be apart of the Ogallala Commons Internship Program . I hope to make new memories and friends as I work this summer. I plan to work hard and learn as I grow. I am really excited but nervous for this journey but I know i’m ready to take on new things.
