First Blog; About me

This is one of our markets here in town!
This is my friend Akari and I with our kimonos in a PuriKura booth.

My name is Abbigayle Hanoch, a newly graduated high school senior. I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and moved to Plainview, Texas soon after. I am very interested in foreign affairs, as I have lived abroad in Japan for a year. I enjoyed it very much and plan on moving back one day. I will further my education by attending college at the University of New Mexico and getting my masters in international business and trade with a minor in either Japanese, Chinese, Korean, or all if possible. I believe that having an internship will help me better understand the world that I am living in and the professional working world I soon will join. I am willing to work my hardest wherever I am placed. My top five tactical skills are speaking, presenting, organizing, writing, and conflict management. Some of my content talents are mediation, persuasion, business environments, rural environment, and multicultural understanding. This year, I have been assigned to be an intern at Plainview’s local Farmer’s Market. I look forward to working with the local farming business community of Plainview. This was a wonderful fit for me as my mother and I make our own home-made jams and jellies. I will have the privilege of learning more about small-town business as I grow closer to my own community through this market. I look forward to the adventures throughout my internship!
