Cooper Bye

My name is Cooper Bye. I am seventeen years old and have attended Kress High school since Pre-K. I’ve lived in Tulia my whole life. I have three siblings Garrett, Scott, and Cody and both my parents, Mickey and Dena Bye. My interests include playing sports such as, football, basketball, tennis, and track. I am currently a member of the Kress 4-H club and show goats. In school I have been apart of student council all four years of high school and have been elected to be the student council president for my upcoming senior year. I’ve participated in UIL and have made it as far as regionals in number sense. For two years I did One Act play and have been awarded all star and honorable mention cast numerous times. I’ve been a member of the Gifted and Talented program since my 7th grade year. I was elected both times for Tomorrow’s leader when I was in 8th and 11th grade and have won once my 8th grade year. I’m also a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran church and a member of the youth group. As part of my youth group we do many activities and fundraisers in our local communities. This summer our youth group will be going to Minneapolis Minnesota to attend a national youth gathering. My plans after High school are to attend Texas Tech University where I’ll pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. I am excited for what my future holds after graduation, and experience what life throws at me along the way.
