In my hometown I have noticed that it shows a lot of the 12 commonwealth assets. The one that sticks out to me the most would be health and fitness. Our little city has a very rare facility for a city of its size. The WRAC (Wray Rehabilitation and Activity Center) is available to citizens and visitors offering fitness activities and physical therapy. It also has a large swimming pool for summer fun and fitness.
Our health care facilities include a very modern hospital, clinic, and hospice care center. For senior residents Hillcrest Care Center and the Towers are state of the art facilities for elder care and are fully staffed. Wray also has a full time dentist office, chiropractic office, and an optometrist.

The city of Wray has recently installed a walking trail. The trail winds through the city and passes through multiple parks as well as a walk along the Republican River. So besides the walking exercise, you experience the beauty of Wray as well as nature and wildlife along the river.

Wray offers a unique outing for bird watchers. The Wray Chamber of Commerce organizes Greater Prairie Chicken Tours in the Spring so that bird watchers from all over the world can participate in guided tours.
In late July, every year we have Wray Daze celebration. Wray Daze is a fun family entertainment weekend filled with activates, music, food, and games for all ages.
Wray was voted “All-America City” in 1993, mostly due to the diverse ethnicity as well as the wide variety of amenities offered.
