I am getting the hang of doing jobs for my internship. Since I live in Tulia, I usually drive to Nazareth almost every morning; but driving is not a hassle because I have been driving back and forth to Nazareth for school since kindergarten. I have gardened a lot. I have never gardened much, so I have learned a lot. There is a garden that I tend to with some help at the Home Mercantile building. There, I am growing peas, green beats, squash, and carrots. It has been a big success, and I am very proud of it! I water it usually every week day, and I have begun to harvest the beat greens and even some peas, as well. Although rain has helped a lot, which leads to a lot of mowing, also.

The school project I am helping with is coming along slowly, but surely. I have researched the history of Nazareth school, and we will eventually exhibit it at German Fest. I have scanned all the photos of basketball state champions in past yearbooks, and I am in the process of writing down the members and coaches. I am also taking notes of past newspaper articles about Nazareth.

I have also taken on the job to put a weekly newsletter, Swift Kicks, together. I write a few of the articles that go on the newsletter each week, but I arrange them and design it. I improve as I work on Swift Kicks each week. My colleagues will be on vacation in a couple of weeks, so I will do everything and publish it all on my own for a few weeks!
