I am from Taos, New Mexico. I have lived here since I was 4. I attended charter schools for elementary through high school and then moved onto to studying a variety of topics in college until I found two things something that really piqued my interest; agriculture and holistic health. I am very passionate about learning how to help people around me and myself to achieve health on all levels– physical, mental, and spiritual. I also take great interest in women’s rights; I want young women to feel confident and be able to succeed in a business setting. I love writing poetry, hiking, and gardening. I hope to start a massage therapy practice, and possibly dabble in herbology/native medicine. Through working with TCEDC I will be able to gather a greater understanding of how to run a business, budgeting, record keeping, native plants/growing them, obtaining grants, and writing proposals– all of which would be extremely valuable skills for future employment but also for knowing what to do when I open a practice. I’m excited to learn more about native plants and maintaining a non-profit business.
