I am 17 years old and I live in Wray Colorado. I attend school at Idalia High School. My school is very small; there are only ten students in the eleventh grade. I went to school in Idalia from Kindergarten through Fourth grade. When my middle school years started my family moved to Southeastern Colorado, where I attended school in Baca County. At the beginning of my freshman year of high school my mom, brother, and I moved back to Wray. I have two siblings, my sister who is 22 and will graduate this year at UCCS, and my younger brother who is 7 years old. I am passionate about helping others. Helping others is very rewarding. One of the best examples of helping people is volunteering at Father Woody’s with my community service group at school. We took a trip to Denver and went to Father Woody’s. Here we fed the homeless and they were able to receive wrapped Christmas presents for their children. My main interest or hobby is being around my friends and family and practicing photography. My long-term goal is to attend college at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and eventually become an Orthodontist. This internship can help me reach my goals by allowing me to gain knowledge about the dentistry field. This will help me know if this is the right career for me. I believe the experience I will gain through this internship will lead me to make the right career decisions.
