A little bit about me

By: Lincoln Honaker

Hello, my name is Lincoln Honaker. I am an incoming Junior at Borger Highschool in Borger Texas. I was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle and hope to one day go to college at Arkansas State University to get my chemical engineering degree. From there I plan on working at Phillips 66, our local oil refinery that was once the largest inland refinery. I chose this career because my father works at the refinery and I hope to follow in his footsteps and maybe even work for corporate one day. When I’m not at school I enjoy hanging out with friends on the town, hunting, going to the lake, and working out to get ready for varsity football. During the school year, I play football in the fall and I wrestle in the winter. I also love going to the mountains in the winter and skiing on Red River. Next year I hope to play golf in the fall because it is a great sport that you can play all your life. This year I have taken a few college classes through the local Junior College Frank Phillips. I hope that by the time I graduate with my Associates degree and my welding certificate. I believe this will help me get into Arkansas state so I can follow my dream career. With this internship I hope to be able to meet and make connections with various people in my local community like local merchants and city council members.
