A Little About Me

By: Laynee Unterkircher

My name is Laynee Unterkircher and I’m from Tulia, Texas. My parents are Robert and Dana Unterkircher and I have an older brother, Luke Unterkircher, who also participated in the Ogallala Internship Program. I’ve been attending Tulia schools since the second grade. Since junior high, I have been involved in many activities such as Student Council, Interactive Club, and athletics to name a few of my main activities. I have worked hard in my classes and have maintained the number one academic standing for my class since 6th grade. Along with my school activities, I have also participated in 4-H since the third grade. I’m also very passionate about helping others. I love to help everybody because I know I need to give back to the world because I receive so much from other people. My main interests and hobby is 4-H. In 4-H, I participate in many activities which are livestock judging, livestock skillathon, fashion show, shooting sports, food challenge, educational presentation, and my favorite activity which is my lamb project. All these activities have shaped me into the person I am today. When I grow up, I want to become a pediatrician. I believe this internship can help me achieve this goal by helping me develop people skills. I also believe this internship will give me a variety of experiences from the many different jobs and help me to develop working skills I can use in my career. This is a little about me and what I hope to achieve through the Ogallala Internship Program.
